Lifting a travel ban in credit card case by the bank
0
Q: Dear Tony,
My friend was working in the UAE and had to leave in 2009 as he lost his job during the recession. He had a credit card payment of approximately AED 14000 in total with 3 different banks.
Now, he intends to come back to the UAE. I believe there is a police case and he will have to pay some court fine. We need help in identifying where is the police case logged.
How we can we pay the court fine and get the police clearance certificate and remove any kind of travel ban so that he can travel freely without any issues?
Regards
A.

Traveling through the UAE while there is a bank loan unsettled

Q: Good day,
l used to have a credit card with a bank then l moved out of the UAE but continued paying although sometimes l delayed payments due to the transfers from one country to another.
Then one time 5 years ago, l was in transit through Dubai airport, and l was arrested and detained for a whole night. But at the police station, they asked me to pay AED 20,000 if l wanted to be released from prison and continue with my journey.
l asked family members to assist me. They paid the amount that was required and l was released. Only to find out when l got to my destination that the bank was still sending more emails for me to keep paying.
From that time, l tried to inform them that l paid money to be released and the amount that l owed the bank was only AED 40,000. Now my question is:
Will l have any issues again if l try to visit the UAE or just use it as a transit country?

Is it possible to exit the country while there is an unpaid loan? 0
Hi,
I live in Dubai and I just topped up my loan. I also have a credit card from a bank. I always pay on time. I was offered a job abroad and my visa will be canceled soon.
Will I be allowed to exit the country?
Will they ban me from leaving as soon as they know that my visa got canceled?
I know I can pay my debt from abroad but I was just wondering.
Thank you!
