Do you have to be personally present to check and remove a cheque case?

The bank filed a criminal complaint about a cheque of 200.000. I'm not in the country.

If a lawyer has a POA from me, can go to the police station, find out what's the situation and pay a fine on my behalf?

Or I am the only one who must go to the police for the fine?

Also, can the lawyer ask for a police clearance certificate?

Hello,

You mentioned only a criminal liability for the cheque.

Please keep in mind that there may be a civil case against you and an arrest order.

In the event of a civil case, you need to settle with the claimant in order to return to the UAE.

It is advisable to check your situation before entering. If you issue a power of attorney we can do it.
