What are the chances of winning a case against a dentist and get compensation?
Dear lawyer,
I started fixing my teeth for my full mouth with a dentist in 2017.
In the beginning, we fixed a price of 28000 and I've been told by him that it will take few months to complete the work.
After that, he never completed it till now 2021. Many times, some of the teeth have been broken and almost 6 times in several spots plus the pain they are causing me.
The dentist never completed the work till now and he is always delaying my appointments.
I've been asking him several times that I need to finish as it is taking too much time plus it costs me a lot taking taxis every time to his clinic.
Also, he's been asking me several times to pay extra charges; we almost reached AED 30500. Note that I have to beg for appointments.
Now I want to go to another dentist to complete the work and I want him to pay for that and I need him to compensate me for all the money I spent on taxis and extra charges.
Will I win my case?

In such case, I would like to enlighten you in regards to the facts and the events from the LAW perspective and then you can decide:
1- The relation between you and the doctor where the doctor offered you a fixed amount of 28000 in return for taking over the medical treatment, governed and secured by the "Civil Transactions Law - Contracts" and the obligation here is mutual, means since you paid he is obliged to accomplish his obligation or else he is obliged to pay back the money he received from you.
2- The compensation claim is possible but you will have to acquire a medical report from the MOH, an official one, to identify what has done to your teeth and to prove that "which I am certainly sure about". Your teeth have been damaged due to misconducting from a Specialized Dentist, in such case, we will claim the damages and the paid amounts as well. Moreover, we can seek to dismiss his membership with the ministry for mistreatment which led to severe damages. Such claim has been governed by the "Civil Transaction Law - Compensation".
