Termination of a limited contract for staying in Covid quarantine
Good day.
It's been only 8 months since I am working in a company and my employer has sent me the termination letter without any warning letter. My contract is limited and expires on 11/2021.
The reason behind the termination was a quarantine leave.
My sister and I live in the same villa and my sister was Covid Positive and my niece was negative. She requested me to take care of her daughter who is 1 year old.
I requested my company for the leave but they did not agree and they sent me the termination letter in 3 days and forcing me to sign the document and also my 1 month 7 days salary is pending.
Kindly advise me what steps can I take being an employee and what compensation is to be claimed?
In such a case, I recommend you file a wrongful termination lawsuit against the company.

1. If you were in direct contact with your sister, you were supposed to stay in quarantine.
Did your sister report the people with whom she was in touch?
If yes, then you had the right to stay home and the obligation to inform your employer about this.
2. Based on labor law, your employer is supposed to notify you before the termination of your employment contract.
Based on the case exposed, you can file a labor case against your employer for arbitrary dismissal.

As per the above information, if you're in direct contact with your sister you are supposed to be under quarantine and the employer must not dismiss you on that grounds.
So in this scenario, you can file a case for arbitrary dismissal and you have the right to claim 3 months' compensation.
