Disputed divorce of expatriates in the UAE
I'm an Egyptian Muslim married to a Christian Macedonian according to Islamic Sharia at the Egyptian Embassy in Dubai.
It has been a very difficult marriage and I want a divorce with my wife who's pregnant and doesn't want it in peace. I'm her sponsor in Dubai as she isn't working now.
Continuing in this marriage is impossible and we didn't have any divorce agreements before marriage. I want to know her rights and my rights, please.

Dear Sir,
I trust you are fine.
Further to your query, kindly be informed that as your wife is not agreeing on giving you divorce, therefore, the only option we have is to file an application for divorce on the grounds mentioned in the personal status law.
As the matter is complicated and confidential, our advice shall be to meet and discuss the terms personally.
