Different designation between the offer letter and labor contract
Hi Mrs Khan,
I have recently received a job offer, I have two questions in regards to that.
1. The designation mentioned in my offer letter is "Engineer", but in the MOL contract it's mentioned as "Sales Representative".
After contacting the HR of the company for clarification, they told me that due to Emiratisation and quick approvals they are issuing "Sales Representative" visa and after 6 months or a year, I can reproach them and get the designation in the MOL changed.
My question here, is it possible to amend the designation in the labour contract in the future and how easy or difficult this process is? What are the disadvantages I may face (if any) of having a "Sales Representative" visa?
2. I have signed the MOL and send it to the company, but it's been 7 working days and I am still waiting for work permit approval, isn't this quite slow for a work permit approval? My contract is a limited contract.
Thank you

Well, you have signed it.
If you are an engineer, then you should be an engineer. If you are into sales then you will have targets and if targets are not met you can be terminated.
It's not an easy process to change designation and no one is willing to take the effort.
It takes time, especially if it is during Ramadan.
