Inability to complete the installments of a property. What to do?
Hi,
I have an off-plan property with a developer which is 80% constructed. I am struggling with the payment of the next installment and they have demanded payment within 30 days from their legal team.
Can you advise me of my options? They have threatened to de-register the unit if payment is not made.

As per your query, please note that you can contact the developer and restructure the payment.
Please go through the SPA in regard to the clause for non-payment and cancellation or termination of the contract.
The options are limited since the project might be on the verge of handover.

As long as they are in compliance with the construction program and you are not able to complete the payment, I recommend finding a replacement buyer who shall pay you the paid amount and complete the payment to the developer.
