Can I reduce the notice period from 60 days to serve 30 days and pay the rest?

Dear Concerned,

I have been working here in the UAE for more than 2 years. Our company notice period is 60 days. My visa status is an unlimited contract.

Are there any possibilities to get out from here in 30 days? I am ready to pay 30 days' salary to the company.

Please give me an advice about this. Is there any legal possibility?

Dear Questioner,

Based on the labor law, if you want to resign from your company you have to serve 60 days notice period.

Due to the fact that your contract is unlimited, you will not be obliged to pay or compensate your employer.

You may either work for 60 days or stay at home as per management instructions.

Thanks.
