However, the rent-a-car refused to accept the car as the bill for it was never settled by the company, from the time when the car was originally rented (over a year ago). The company has had some management changes and now they refuse to accept the car as well. I do not know what to do as this car is not my responsibility and I have to return it somehow to the company. I cannot face the potential charges as the car was rented by the company, not by myself. Q: Hi, In August I was in Dubai. I rented a few supercars and paid a deposit of 1500 euros. By the rental agreement, the owner was obligated to pay back my deposit within one but he never did so. I have contacted him several times, but he just ignored me. I told him I will contact a lawyer for help and that he has to pay all expenses if he will be sued. He answered then at once and told me I got a fine for speeding so I asked him to provide it but he never did it. I contacted him several times after that but he never answered. Q: Hi, Last year (07.2022) I visited Dubai and rented 5 supercars from a local rental company. I left 1500 euro (6000 UED) deposit for the cars which I never got back. The company manager claimed that I got more speeding tickets than my deposit and that I am owing him money, not he to me. I knew 99% I wasn't speeding but to be sure, I checked all the registration plates of the cars I rented and I found out there were no speeding tickets on those cars even that month I rented them. I have sent all the copies to the rental company and explained that if they will not refund my money, I will take legal action. Later on Google reviews, I saw that there are more scammed people by the same company. They take a deposit, and later they blame them for speeding and this gives them a reason not to refund money. The amounts are not huge (6000) UED but this man must be stopped somehow. He is doing shame for all Emirates. Maybe there is a lawyer who can help me to send legal notice? My budget for this is (1000 AED).
