The applicability of court fees in labour cases

In many answers, I see that the court fee is mentioned for the labour cases above AED 100,000.

However, as per article 5 of labor law, workers are exempted from court fees. In which law is this court fee mentioned?

If I take this claim directly to court, is there a fee? And if I appoint a lawyer to represent on my behalf, is a fee applied then?

The fees are mentioned in Dubai Court fee laws and regulations and yes; fees will apply unless you submit a request to postpone it till the final judgment.

If you share details of the claim, we can estimate the expenses and professional fees.

Hi Sir,

Regarding your inquiry, yes; if the claim is above 100k, there will be fees for court but you can submit a request to the judge for fees to get postponed.

If you appoint a lawyer for your case, you have to pay some fees of the lawyer in advance to proceed with your case.

Kind Regards,
