The possibility to join a competitor while there is a non-compete clause
Hi,
I am working for a company in the Media City as a developer and I have a non-compete clause in my contract. I want to join a competitor who is also in Dubai but because of this non-compete clause, I cannot join the competitor.
Is there any way to leave my current company and join the competitor?

In several cases, that term becomes invalid due to its contradiction with the general laws of the country.
The term of the agreement should clearly express the time frame of the validity, the location and it can't be the whole UAE; it should be an Emirate or two and should be mentioned clearly.
Indications and free-of-details terms shall be subject to refusal by the court.
