Overdue bills: What legal actions service providers can take against debtor

I have an overdue bill for a telecommunication company based in the UAE.

What they actually can do legally against me?

1) The first step is to chase for payment.

2) If the payment is not made the service will be canceled.

3) Follow up calls.

4) If there is no communication and no payment forthcoming, the telecommunication company registers a police case for non-payment of a bill assuming the bill is substantial and has exceeded the deposit amount.

5) When a police case for debt is registered, the user will be called by the police so that they have an option to settle any debts.

6) If not settled they can register a case and request for a travel ban.

With best regards,

Mrs. Khan

Do you think they will usually accept settlement in installments rather than going through police case procedures... is it a better option for them?

I have no idea. They are not individuals who would be hassled. They have a recovery department who takes care of the same.
