How to check if there is a travel ban after finding out there are cases
Hi,
I just want to confirm regarding a travel ban.
I have checked in a Dubai police station and found that 2 cases have been filed of a total amount of AED 25000 in Abu Dhabi which leads to a travel ban.
Please advise, what is the procedure to lift the ban? If I pay the fine at court will it be enough to lift the ban?
Dear Questioner,
Basically, if you try to go to court to pay the fines, you will be arrested and detained behind bars.
After that, you will be transferred to the Public Prosecution to get the decision of releasing you with paying the fine or issue the decision for jail.
The only way to avoid this trick is to notarize a Power of Attorney from you to us to be able to act on your behalf and apply a request for paying the fine.
After finalizing the payment, we have to get approval from the public prosecutor to remove the ban that has been imposed on your name.
Once we get the approval, we are moving to the CID to release your ban and remove your name from the blacklist or any travel ban list.
If you are interested in the aforementioned, please feel free to contact us at our email.
Thanks.

We have to review the case if it is a civil case or criminal case. There are different procedures for each, not every case results in a fine.
If it is a civil case, they would want to recover the whole amount. We need to check cases on you first to proceed with anything else.
