You may be able to file a police complaint about the unlawful use of your card.

In order to do so, it would be necessary to explain how your credit card came to be in the possession of another, who you believe the person to be and why you did not report the matter during your 3- 4 years absence.

You would be required to file a complaint at a Dubai Police Station, the procedure for doing so would be to attend at the police station in person or to give lawyers a Power of Attorney to do so on your behalf.

The police could, however, require you to attend to explain the issues raised above. It is not possible to file a complaint in absence or online.

If you have not already advised the bank of the circumstances, you should do so immediately and request that there is cancellation of the card preventing further use.
