How to claim the amount paid for property after cancellation of the project

Salam Alaykum

It's my pleasure to write to you. I hope someone will help me. I am from Iraq but I have swiss citizenship living and working in Switzerland as my wife is from Finland.

We suppose that we come to Dubai once a year. In 2008, we decided to buy an apartment with money savings which already belong to my daughter. We paid AED 180000.

The unit was in Ajman with a real estate developer under the registration of the Dubai Government. I have no one to help. Wherever I go, they say you have to pay more deposit in order to check your case.

I have original all the proofs in Arabic and English. Under the agreement, I should get my unit in 2009.

Dear Client,

Good day!

I think many of the projects are virtually cancelled projects with your developers. This is a possibility also because the infrastructure is not being completed there.

So, it is not in liveable condition but however, we need to see the copy of your agreement details and of course, we can file a case in Ajman Court for termination and refund.

There are court fees to it and also there are professional fees and official fees that you need to pay.

If you communicate directly with us, we can send you an email with the fees, implications... etc. so you are well aware of how the case can proceed further.

For further assistance, please feel free to contact us on the phone number or send us an email.

Thank you.
