Resignation and visa cancellation in Dubai while delegated to another country

Hi,

I was employed in a free zone in Dubai but worked in Saudi Arabia on a business visa. Can I ask for any compensation for it if there is nothing related to this in contract?

Also, I resigned and served the notice period in Saudi Arabia only and then the company sent me back to the UAE for visa cancellation process as I need to take the final exit.

In this case, am I eligible to get the salary until my visa get cancelled or just the for the notice period? Because after the notice period is over I did not work and being an expatriate I have over expenses because of this delay.

Thanks

Dear sender,

You should check all the paperwork related to your employment.

However, based on the information provided by you, I am inclined to believe that your employment is regulated by the UAE labour law and the contract signed, especially since you have a residency visa.

Compensation can be demanded only if you have been arbitrarily dismissed and such fact is established by a court of law.

As per the UAE labour law, you are entitled to receive your end of service benefits, plus the remuneration accrued for the unused leave days. Only during your notice period, you will receive the remuneration.

Please feel free to contact me at my email should you require our assistance.
