How to claim the money paid to invest in a company which breaches its obligations?
Hi,
I am a foreign investor who invests in a business unit in Dubai.
Unfortunately, the company fails the business and didn't return the money for two years, I contacted the boss for a long time and found that they lied to investors before they make decisions and there are emails and conversations in records.
Can I report to the police station about this? And is this a criminal or a civil case?

Did you sign any investor agreement with them? If yes, please send me a copy of it to review.
Please note that if you have not signed any agreement with them, it will be difficult for you to prove that they have not fulfilled their obligation.
However, we can start by sending them a legal notice and request them to pay back the funds you invested.

Yes, you have the right as an investor.
You can send a Legal Notice asking them to pay the amount and if they refused to pay the amount, then you can directly go and file a Criminal Case for Breach of Trust against them because they actually breached your trust and have already lied.
If you already have proof of all these things, then there's no need to send a legal notice and you can directly file a criminal case against them.
