Checking the status of a case after losing the checkbook

Assalamo Alaikum,

How are you, sir?

Last year, I had a case in Sharjah because someone put a cheque case against me.

I complained about the loss of my checkbook before that. I refused the charge in court and the other party didn't come on 4 hearings so the court released me without any guaranty.

Now I want to check the status of that case and close it as I need to travel to my country after finishing my visa.

Can you guide me on this matter?

Thanks!

Dear Questioner,

I can help you and check if there are any criminal records registered under your name.

In order to do this, I need a Power of Attorney (POA) from you, allowing me to represent you in front of the relevant authorities in the UAE.

I will provide you with a template of the POA after you send me a scanned copy of your passport, UAE visa, and previous Emirates ID.

The POA needs to be notarized and attested by the UAE Embassy in the country of issuance.

Once the POA is notarized and attested, you will courier the original to our office.

Once I receive the original POA, I will attest it here in the UAE Ministry Of Foreign Affairs and then check your police and immigration records.

After checking, we will issue a report and advise you on the next steps (in case there are some criminal records under your name).

If you wish to proceed, please send me a scanned copy of your passport, visa, and Emirates ID by email together with a brief of your case.

Best Regards,

Raluca Gatina
