The responsibility of a manager who is not a partner for cheques
Hi,
My name is in a UAE license as a manager with 0% percent share but with powers to act on behalf of the company.
I didn't sign any cheques. The landlord filed a civil case against the company for not paying rent.
The owner is not bothered. Anything will happen to me?

As a manager of the company, you are liable for everything.
The partner (the company doesn't have any owner) will not be liable for anything.
The rent payment order will be executed on the company but if the court ordered a travel ban, then the manager will be banned from traveling.
In the worst situation if needed to send someone to jail, then the manager will be that one.
