The legality of Muslim person's consumption of alcohol in the UAE

Hello,

I'm a Muslim girl, 13 years old. My parents call themselves Muslim but they never pray or do stuff like that. They also drink alcohol.

I read that people can't purchase alcohol in the UAE without a license, then how does my father get it? He and my mom are Muslims but they don't follow Allah's commands.

I really want them to stop drinking.

Hi,

Consumption of Alcohol is illegal for a Muslim person (Muslim person can't get a permit also), therefore, you can report or file a complaint to the Police.

Hopefully, they will be punished. If they ask you to do anything unIslamic or unethical, you can oppose and file a complaint about that also.

UAE has a child rights protection law named "Federal Law No. 3 of 2016 (Wadeema's Law)"; if they do anything wrong, you can demand your right under this law.

You may contact me directly via phone or email for further consultation.
