Applicability of Dubai One Day Court procedures in other emirates

Q: I would like to ask if the One Day Court process for minor financial issues in Dubai is also applicable in other emirates in the UAE… A: Dubai Law No. 1 of 2017 on Criminal Orders, setting up the ‘One Day Misdemeanor Court’. Other emirates, the process is quite similar. It takes 3-5 working days…

Kindly note that the One Day Court process is a Dubai initiative.

His Highness Shaikh Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, approved the Dubai Law No. 1 of 2017 on Criminal Orders, setting up the ‘One Day Misdemeanor Court’ to boost the efficiency of judicial work in Dubai.

For all other emirates, the process is quite similar, but it takes 3-5 working days.
