Good morning,

Please note that, for the purposes of concluding the marriage contract in Jordan, the parties to the contract must be present in Jordan.

Given the circumstances that we are going through due to the Corona pandemic, as for your presence, you must come to Jordan or provide a power of attorney (POA) to the competent courts in your country and/or the notary responsible for delegating a resident in Jordan to sign the marriage contract on your behalf,

The same applies to the person to whom you are is to be married in Ramallah, as it is difficult for him to come to Jordan, but he can provide us with a power of attorney to complete the marriage contract.

And if you wish to cooperate with us, you must send a true copy of the passports of the two parties, and a certificate called in Jordanian law, absence of the legal impediments, obtained from the competent courts in your countries, or their embassies as is applicable, stating that the man does not have 4 women in his custody and for the woman that she is not married and there is no objection to the consummation of the marriage.

- The power of attorney is certified by the competent authorities, and we print and supply it in case you wish to do so.

- The conclusion of the marriage contract needs witnesses, and we take care of the matter costs:

1. Transaction fees at the competent authorities: 80 Jordanian dinars

2. Lawyer's fees: 350 dinars

3. Translation fees: all papers in the English language need to be translated into Arabic

- If you wish to cooperate with us, please know that we can cooperate with another lawyer to be authorized to complete the marriage contract for you, and we are agents for the Palestinian person, and this does not include the above fees.

- The necessary POAs will be prepared and sent to you as soon as we are informed of your desire to appoint us and send the required amount

Unfortunately, Denmark does not recognize marriages where the two parties have not been physically present.

Even if the marriage took place according to the law of another country?

6 Oct 2020, 11:48

Yes, unfortunately, they don't recognize it, because one of the cornerstones of Danish marriage law is to be physically present.

There are two principles, that cannot be circumvented in Danish marriage law when a foreign marriage contract is to be recognized in Denmark;

1) Both parties have to be over at least 15 years old at the time of the wedding.

2) Both parties have to be physically present.

In my opinion, we wait until the Palestinian husband is allowed to come to Jordan, and we will inform you of that in case you want to cooperate with us.

We keep in touch, what do you think?

Sure!

You can definitely let me know when Jordan allows Palestinians to enter again.

Yes, we will tell you, if you want to give me your email to contact you.

The email is sent.
