Reporting husband to the police for cybercrime because of using iCloud password

My soon-to-be-ex-wife threatened to report me to the police for cybercrime. It's because I know her iCloud password and used it to add her to our Family Sharing and Find My iPhone app.

She is very bad at remembering passwords (also often misplaced her iPhone that requires me to make it sound using Find My iPhone app) so for years, I had to be the caretaker of her accounts.

Should I be worried?

Does she have legal grounds to report me?

Hi Sir,

It is a matter of evidence in the end. If she can prove that you did use her password without her consent, then you could be prosecuted.

However, her case is a bit thin, because you have a marriage relationship which could explain shared information.

If you need a lawyer later or legal advice in more detail, you can call us or ask on Whatsapp.

She can if you misuse her data.

Knowing the password is not illegal but misusing it without her consent is illegal.
