The right way to calculate the annual leave

Good evening Mr. Shoaib,

I have a question regarding the annual leave calculation.

If you have, for example, worked for 2 years at a company in the UAE, are you entitled to 30 days for each year of service?

Or is the first year calculated at 2 days per month (24 days) and the second year calculated at 30 days per year?

This is a point of discussion where I am working right now.

Dear questioner,

Thanks for your inquiry!

Please be informed that based on the federal labor law in the UAE, you are entitled to get 30 days as annual leave for the (Full Year) which means that you deserve 60 days annual leave.

But, if you have worked, for example, for 1 year and 8 months, you will be entitled to get 30 days as annual leave for the year, and 2 days per month for the 8 months.

Please do not hesitate to contact us at any time.

Thanks!
