Claiming the upfront payment of a project when the supplier defaults on manufacturing
We placed an order for a project, where we free issued some equipment and paid a supplier in Abu Dhabi an upfront payment of 50K USD.
They are defaulting on our project. They haven't even started work on the manufacture of a critical piece of equipment. We have had many promises, visited their factory but no action to start work.
In fact, their workshop is closed. Can we claim back the 50k and get our free issue equipment returned?
The free-issue equipment is untouched.
Thanks!

Dear sir,
Good day!
It is true that if they have not completed the project, they have not started the project, or they have not started manufacturing, you can send a Legal Notice to them to stop working on it and return back the equipment.
That will be sufficient for us to proceed further. Please send us the documents to confirm our advice & course of action.
For further assistance, please feel free to contact us via phone or email.
Thank you!
