Q: There was a case filed against me in Muraqabat Police Station for bouncing cheque.
I was not able to pay my loan for more than 4 months as I lost my job and unable to pay. I informed the bank and negotiated with them, but they want me to pay at least half of the loan amount.
My problem now is that I got a job offer but my new employer cannot issue an employment visa for me as I am in the blacklist status.
My previous employer also cannot cancel my visa, they were able to cancel my labour card and already beyond the grace period of 30 days.
My previous employer told me that they will present my passport to the visa section and file an absconding case against me.
Please advise if they can really push filing an absconding case against me?
What shall I do regarding the bounced cheque so that my new employer can process an employment visa for me?

Q: Hi Maam,
Good day!
My bank emailed me that they filed a civil case against me since I have not paid my credit card amount 50,000 AED for almost 8 months now.
I lost my job due to COVID 19, I am totally broke. Now my question is:
I finally found a new job, they are working on my employment visa but I am very anxious; thinking that this pending case against me may affect my employment visa application! Will this be a reason for future visa rejection?
Please enlighten me!

How to check possible cases by the bank before renewing your visa

Q: Hi.
I just need advice. My friend lost her job for more than a year now since the pandemic started, and unfortunately, it affects her credit card obligations.
Her credit card debt as of January 2021 reached AED 20k already and she has no way to pay it since she has no work. Right now, she is currently holding a visit visa while trying to find a new job.
Next week she is about to renew her visit visa and she is afraid that she won't be able to obtain a new visit visa due to her credit card debt and thinking that she might be in jail.
Please help me, how can she solve her problem? What actions should she do so she can renew again her visit visa? How can she know if the bank already filed a case against her and what can she do about it?
Thank you so much in advance for your help!

When he went to get his visa cancelled, he found out there is a civil case of AED 100,00 on him due to a bank loan default.
Please advise, can he get his employment visa done and start his new job?
I am afraid he will lose this offer if things don't move quickly.
Please advise

Can you renew your visa if you have a pending case for credit card?

4
Q: Good morning.
I would like to ask if an individual can renew his or her visa if she/he has a case for having payments on a credit card.
Since October 2022, monthly dues were not paid but monthly she/he is paying the minimum amount of 1000 to 700. Now one month is missed.
He keeps on requesting an extension but unfortunately no response and no confirmation from the bank and third party.
Currently, he was receiving notifications in WhatsApp and in the mail that he needs to settle his credit payment by today.
But unfortunately, he doesn't have yet the amount to pay. 30k is the outstanding payable amount on the card.
As per the notification, a travel ban might be implemented and the account name will be blacklisted if he can't pay today itself.
What should be the steps to be done?
His visa is going to expire and will be on renewal.
Can he renew his visa in this case?

Can I cancel my house sale contract without extra fees after personal plans changed? 0
Dear Lawyers,
I signed a Form F with a buyer for the sale of my house as we were planning to leave the country. The contract was signed about a month ago, but the handover is not until August.
Due to personal circumstances changing, we are no longer leaving Dubai and would like to cancel Form F.
The Form F contract stipulates that we have to pay the buyer 10% of the purchase value. The real estate agent is now claiming that we also have to pay the buyer's real estate commission and the conveyancing fee.
Our understanding is that the 10% penalty is the only penalty. Which is correct, and what are the next steps to dispute this?
Also, is there any way to dispute the 10% itself under the law due to personal circumstances changing?
