The applicability of UAE commercial companies law to a company with a civil license

I have a professional company with a civil license from DED (not an LLC company). The civil partnership company is not defined in the commercial companies' law. It is defined as a "partnership" in the UAE civil transactions law.

Is UAE commercial companies law applicable to a company with a civil license?

Hello,

As per your query, a civil license company usually does not come under the purview of the Companies Law (UAE). However, there are judgments that it was considered to be under commercial companies law if a particular civil company sells a service for a profit.

It depends upon the situation and the court; whether it will be considered civil or commercial and as per the transactions and objective of the particular company.

In regard to the shareholders and any dispute or shares or liability, we have to look at the particular circumstance from which the question arises.

We have to check the documents and facts before coming to the conclusion.
