Acting against delay of delivery for a purchased property

Hi,

My house was supposed to be delivered on 30 Dec 2018 but it's more than 1 year of delay and still, there is no communication on when it will be delivered.

I have paid 30% of my house value in October 2018 + 2% DLD and rest 70% is on delivery as per the agreed payment plan.

We are speaking to the builder to get a better picture of the delivery progress of our house but they say they yet don't have the exact date of delivery.

Kindly advise, what should I do?

Thanks.

Dear questioner,

Delivery of a real estate project can be delayed up to a period of 1 year by the developer.

But in your case, the delay is for more than a year. Therefore you can claim compensation for the delay.

Further, we need to study the SPA signed by you to comment further.

Kindly contact us by phone for a detailed discussion or write to us at our email for further assistance.

Dear questioner,

One year delay is too much you have the right to claim your money and to advise you in this matter we need to review your SPA.

If you need any further clarification, contact by phone or email.
