Clearing the case of a bounced guarantee cheque after payment

I gave a guarantee cheque for one person. He filed a civil lawsuit against me, but I went to his office one year ago and paid the full amount with cash, in his office.

I got the receipt from his office that I paid them against that cheque, but they didn't return my cheque because they made an excuse that it's lost and they can't find it and give me the receipt.

How can I close this case now?

As long as you paid and you have a proof of payment, we can get you out of this case.

For more information please answer the below questions:

- Do you have the original receipt of payment?

- In which stage is the case?

Yes, I have the original receipt from them; and as I didn't attend the court hearing, I can't tell you on which stage it is now.

Currently, I am planning to travel. How do you think will it be safe for me in this situation?

Can you do the investigation about the case for me?

What will be your actions and what documents, except the receipt, do you need from my side?

First of all, you have to do a check before you travel.

Usually, we request a POA to do this and we arrange a meeting to collect all the required documents.
