Q: Hello, How are you? I won my labour case on the date of 8 Jan. In the judgment, the company should give me AED 10,000. Today my boss called me and told me to take AED 3000 and cancel my employment visa. Otherwise, he will appeal to the court and reopen the case and take more than 1 year. So, I have a problem and better take the money, whatever he gives me. Can you tell me what do I do? My case was termination before finishing the contract.  

Q: Greetings, I have filed a case against my previous employer for not clearing my outstanding salary/end-of-service pay. This was done through my labour complaint being transferred to the courts. However, my employer has agreed to pay the same & I would like to know how I could withdraw the case if they do so. Would there be any extra charges or consequences of my cancellation of the case? Q: Hi, I already filed waiving my labour case with my employer, I also dropped my labour compliant to my previous employer done at Tasheel. They told me to wait for the approval of cancellation and then I can cancel it at the immigration. I already told my previous employer that I dropped the court case (but it has to be notarized at Dubai Courts which I'm not yet doing it). They are not still withdrawing their labour complaint against me and they want me to go with them, but I don't want to see them because of their wickedness. My question is, is it okay not to communicate with the previous employer even though my cancellation is in the process? Will it affect me until I get the cancellation?

The law promulgates UAE Civil Procedures Code (Civil Procedure Law) which governs civil procedures in the United Arab Emirates, including the prosecution before the courts, litigation and execution.

The provisions of this Decree-Law, known as "New UAE Labor Law", govern labour relations in the private sector of the United Arab Emirates. The New Labor Law repeals the previous UAE Labor Law (Federal Law No. (8) of 1980).
