What happens if the witness does not appear before the court?

If a UAE national is called to appear before the appeals court by the defense (06-10-2019) to testify in a case that the UAE national has registered against a UK ex-pat, but the UAE national does not appear on the specified date (20-10-2019), what usually happens next?

Dear questioner,

The court system in the UAE works without any discrimination between the nationalities.

The court's sole purpose to summon anyone in the court is to hear his point of view and in case the summoned party is not attending the court, the court may either adjourn the case to the next date or practice its expertise to determine the facts to pass the judgment in the favour of either party considered rightful as per law.

If you need any further assistance regarding defense, please feel free to contact me via phone or email.
