Can I exit the country without clearing my credit card dues?
Hi,
I am an Indian National living in the UAE. I have 1 credit card, I do not have any loan and I also do not have any EMI to pay but I have AED 25000 due to pay for my credit card.
Now I got a job in Saudi Arabia and I am unable to pay all the money at once.
My question is that, can I leave the UAE without paying the due amount? Will it create any issue at the airport while leaving to India on the final exit?

Dear Sir/ Madam,
Thank you for reaching out to me on this.
As I understand, you have a credit card as the only liability in the UAE. You wish to leave the UAE to secure a job in Saudi Arabia.
You may leave the UAE as long as you do not have any cases in the UAE. As long as you are paying your monthly instalments/bills for the credit card, the bank will not take any action against you.
Assuming you stop paying the monthly bills, the bank will bounce your security cheque (assuming you have given one. If you haven't given any cheque then you may ignore this) and file a police case against you.
This police case will result in a travel ban and an arrest order in the UAE. If this case is filed before you depart the UAE, then, of course, you will not be able to travel to Saudi Arabia to secure your job.
In order to be safe and secure, you must do a police inspection before you exit the country to ensure there are no issues at the airport.
I trust you will find this helpful.
