Checking a travel ban or lawsuit online in case of bounced cheque
Can I check if I have a travel ban, and where?
I am going on vacation next month, and I just want to make sure that there will be no problem at the airport before I go.
It happened that the cheque I issued for the real estate had bounced because of delayed payment, but it had been settled already.
I just want to make sure that there are no open cases against me, although I haven't been notified of any.

You can check it personally or you can try to apply online for a "Good Conduct Certificate".
The Good Conduct Certificate allows customers to obtain a criminal record verification for the purpose of work, study, immigration, naturalization, marriage, permission or license, rehabilitation or changing of a name.
Service Requirements
- Applicant's fingerprints in one of the police stations or the Criminal Investigation Department, and he/she must have a clean criminal record in order to get that certificate.
Service Fees
- Good Conduct Certificate for UAE Citizens: 100.0 AED
- Good Conduct Certificate for outside UAE: 300.0 AED
- Good Conduct Certificate for expatriates: 200.0 AED
