Clearing bank cases and obtaining police clearance certificate
Hi
I had some cases from the banks due to a bounced cheque and I fled the UAE.
After a few years, I have now cleared all liability with all banks and they have provided the clearances and NOCs.
I need help in ensuring my cases are cleared and to obtain the respective police clearance certificate on an urgent basis.
Request for an appropriate lawyer to kindly comment and also quote their fee for this.
Thank you

Dear Sir/ Madam,
Thank you for reaching out to me on this.
You have done the right thing in clearing the liability with all the banks and obtaining clearances. However, you should have cleared the civil liability with the bank.
When you first defaulted with the banks, the banks would have filed a police case against you.
You must also confirm with the banks if they filed or withdrew the police case from the system.
If they have not withdrawn, then you can face issues while travelling into the country. Similarly, a police clearance certificate will not be issued.
You must engage the services of a lawyer to inspect the police records and ensure there are no cases against you.
Consequently, you may apply for a Police Clearance Certificate through Dubai Police or the Ministry of Interior website.
If you wish to discuss more on the above subject, you may contact me directly on email or phone.
I trust you will find this in order.
Regards,
Hari Wadhwana
