Proving violation of confidential information against an employee
How can the employer prove that I stole confidential information and some clients from the company?
Can he file a case against me? What are the consequences?

The employer has the right to file a case against the employee who stole a client list or any confidential information for that matter.
However, proving this is not that easy as long as there is no solid evidence to prove that the employee has, in fact, stole this information.
The employer has two options, he can file a civil case requesting for damages due to the divulging of confidential information, and he can also file a criminal case against the employee.
