The significance of the expert opinion in a civil case
Sir,
I have a civil case going on in Abu Dhabi and now the judge has sent to expert opinion.
What does this expert opinion mean and how does it work?
The civil case is against me from my previous company.

Thank you for reaching out to me on this.
Please note that a court may appoint an expert in a case where it believes that the subject is complicated and professional assistance may be required.
The said professional assistance is appointed by the way of an expert who is in the panel of experts appointed by the court. The said expert shall call both parties, hear them via oral deposition or documents.
Upon hearing both parties, the expert shall prepare his report basis on the documents and pass his view.
In most of the cases, the court adopts the report as judgement so one has to be really careful as to what documents/ arguments are submitted.
You must treat this as good as a proceeding before a judge.
