Bounced rental cheques and expected consequences

Dear Sir

I have 2 cases registered in a Dubai police station under rental cheque bounce, with a value of 13000 & 18000.

What will be the consequences? Will police detain me if I go to them or what will happen, Sir?

Please let me know.

Thanks

Dear Questioner,

Are the 2 cases in the police station filed by the same bank? Usually, for this amount, the prosecutor will decide to give you a fine.

However, I suggest you hire a lawyer to check the status of your cases and in all this period I suggest you do not leave UAE, otherwise, you can be caught by the police.

In case you need our help in checking your criminal cases, please let me know.

Best regards,

Raluca Gatina

Hello,

These 2 cheques are from a different bank and in different police stations in Dubai.

Usually, in this kind of situation, the prosecutor will give a fine -which have to be paid.

Once the fine is paid, you need to apply for a release letter and make sure the case will be deleted from the police and immigration system.

Do not travel in all this period, until the release letter is issued. However, as mentioned before, each case is separate.

So if you wish to see exactly if the above is applicable in your case, you need to hire a lawyer who can check the 2 cases in the 2 police stations.

You're welcome.

Our fee to check your cases is USD 400.

In order to represent you to the relevant authorities, we need from your side a power of attorney which needs to be notarized (if you are in the UAE) and notarized attested by the UAE embassy from your residential country (if you are outside UAE).
