Can I get married if the fiance is in debt in the UAE

Hello,

My fiance lives in the UAE. We want to get married, however, he has made a substantial loss in his business and is in debt.

He is continuing with work to arrange funds and pay this off. Is he able to continue with a Nikah (marriage, while in debt and continue with sponsoring me?
