Immediate resignation without notice and its repercussions in the UAE

Good day,

In my situation, I've completed 6 years of counting including my joining date. My visa will expire in August but now I want to resign immediately/same day.

Can you advise me what I am going to do?

Hi there,

It's not suggestive to resign immediately without proper notice period. In absence of a notice period and depending upon the contract type and jurisdiction; you may have to pay compensation to your employer.

Do you mean august 2019?

This very near anyway. You should know if you want to take your money you need to send email to your company and give them 30 days...etc.

So I advise you to talk with them if you have any problem and find a solution. Don't give them the chance to make any problem for you. Think well about this step.

Now that I’ve given them my 30 days notice and found a new job, may I know how long will it take for the cancellation of visa?

And after cancellation, may I know how long will it take to apply for change of status?

If all the documents are submitted properly, it will take 1-2 days. To apply for a change of status, the time duration is 10-15 working days.

Dearest,

Should you resign immediately, you would bear the negative consequences in return (dismissing the end of service) as per article no. 139 of the labour law no. 8 of the year 1980 together with its amendments, unless article 121 of the same law is fulfilled in any of its both cases.
