عدم العلم بإشعار إنهاء الإيجار

سيدى العزيز،

كنت قد استأجرت "ستوديو" في الشارقة، وقد أبلغت الشركة بـ 30 يومًا قبل إكمال العقد مدة سنة.

لم يردوا على خطابي، لكن في النهاية، فرضوا علي غرامة بدفع إيجار شهرين لأنني لم أبلغهم.

يرجى تقديم المشورة لي ماذا أفعل الآن؟

Dear Sir/ Madam,

Thank you for reaching out to me on this.

I am assuming you have a one year lease and rightly so, given notice regarding your wish to not renew the contract.

The fact that the landlord did not see or reply to your email is irrelevant. You did your job by intimating to the landlord.

If your landlord is not releasing your security deposit cheque or claiming more money, I suggest you file a dispute before the Sharjah Rent Dispute Committee.

Dear Sir,

Thank you.

But in the contract, it is written in the terms and conditions to notice before 60 days, and I was not aware of that.

I asked why charging 2 months extra. Since I informed 30 days before, they can charge for 1 month.

Dear Sir/ Madam,

You are right then. You are liable for only 1 months penalty.

If the dispute escalates with no resolution, then please proceed to the appropriate authority.
