Thank you for reaching out to me on this.

If your employer is not handing over your passport to you, then you have an option to approach the nearest police station and lodge a complaint regarding the same.

The police may assist you instantly or request you to file a case in the court to get the passport back. Filing a case may cost you a bit but that's the only effective way to do so.

Alternatively, you can also approach the Consulate to amicably settle the issue.
