Increase in rent in Kingdom of Bahrain

Law No. 27 of 2014 in the Kingdom of Bahrain governs the law related to the leases. As per the law No. 27 of 2014 the maximum cap has been set at 5% for all the residential properties and 7% for all commercial and other properties.

However, if the lessor and lessee has agreed to other terms and conditions exceeding the above cap then later on the lessee cannot claim that this increase exceeds the limit set by the law.
