Considering you have defaulted in repaying the card instalments, the bank may bounce your security cheque (if it has one) and file a police case against you in the UAE. There are two scenarios regarding the outcome of the case:

1- If the case is filed in the Emirate of Dubai, you will be exposed to a penalty of fine if the cheque is under AED 200,000/-.

2- If the case is filed in any other Emirate, you can be exposed to a penalty of fine or imprisonment at the discretion of the judge. You will need legal representation to litigate your claim to get the minimum penalty.

As long as the criminal case is pending against you, there will be a travel ban issued on your name in the UAE. And if the bank has its branch in Bahrain, they can create difficulties there as well.

I would advise that you engage a legal representative in the UAE to handle your police case and clear the same so that there are no criminal liabilities against you.

If you clear your criminal liabilities, then the bank cannot take any coercive action against you in Bahrain.
