In theory yes, they can file a civil case against you to recover these dues.

However, filing a civil case will not translate into a travel ban (unless the court specifically orders so, which is not often). The civil case will not impact your visa status too.

Only when the civil case judgement is out and the bank applies for execution, where your visa will be frozen and there will be a warrant to arrest you.

There will be no arrests done till the time the civil case is going on until judgement. I would advise you to continue negotiating with the bank and settle the case. This is the only avenue for you at the moment.

If a civil case is filed, please make arrangements to defend yourself as the bank may demand more than AED 60,000/-.
