Acting against a criminal case for defaulting on a personal loan
Hi,
I had a personal loan from a bank for the total outstanding of 37400.
Now, I am terminated from my job and did not pay to the bank for 3 months. They have filed a police case against me in Umm al Quwain.
I went to the police where they took me to court and got the date of 29.04.19. I want to know what will happen now.

I understand that the complaint filed against you by the bank has been transferred to the Public Prosecution and the first hearing date has been posted for 29th April 2019.
The prosecution will give you fines or jail term as per the law prevailing in the Emirate. You may keep your passport and take a bail as well.
