Questions & Answers
Is there a possibiliyt of a travel ban against if my father got a ban due to a legal dispute?
I am contacting you to verify whether my name appears on a travel ban list for the United Arab Emirates.
To explain the situation: some time ago, I was in Dubai with my father and our family. Following a dispute regarding a vehicle bill — where the person involved acted, in our opinion, dishonestly and tried to charge us more than agreed — my father received a travel ban.
I would like to know if, as a result of this matter, I might also be subject to a travel ban, even though I was not directly involved in the dispute. We do not wish to pursue legal action, as it would be too costly, but I would like to ensure that I can travel freely to Dubai.
Could you please advise on the procedure or check my status?
I can provide my full name, nationality, and passport number to facilitate the verification.

Hello,
I can assist you in checking whether there is any travel ban or arrest order issued against you in the UAE that might prevent your entry or travel.
You may contact me by phone so that you can provide your Emirates ID and visa details for the check.
Dear Questioner,
Thank you for your inquiry.
To confirm whether you have a travel ban in Dubai or elsewhere in the UAE, we can assist you with a comprehensive check for civil and criminal cases.
Required Steps:
Before we can initiate the legal process of a travel ban check, we will require a Power of Attorney (POA) to represent you before government authorities and police stations.
To facilitate the notarization of the POA, please provide the following documents:
- A copy of your old and new passports
- A copy of your visa
- A copy of your Emirates ID
Once we receive these documents by email, we will draft the POA in both English and Arabic and send it to you for review, signature, and return.
Afterward, the POA will be submitted to the federal Notary Public for notarization. The notary will provide a link for a remote meeting with you, during which your original passport will be verified, and you will sign electronically.
Costs and Process:
- Notary Fees: USD 165 (paid directly to the notary). You will receive a digital copy of the notarized POA.
- Legal Fees for Travel Ban Check: USD 325. Once the notarized POA is received, we will check the UAE criminal record system for any criminal cases, travel bans, arrest warrants, or execution files registered against your name. This process typically takes about four working days.
We are here to assist you every step of the way. Please let us know if you have any questions or require further clarification.
Sincerely,
Mohammad Salah

Dear Client,
Regarding your concern about a possible travel ban due to the vehicle bill dispute involving your father, typically in the UAE, a travel ban is issued against the individual involved in the case.
It does not automatically extend to family members unless they are directly implicated or jointly responsible in the matter.
Since you were not directly involved, it is unlikely that you have a travel ban just because of your father’s case.
However, to be certain, I can check your immigration and travel ban status using your full name, nationality, and passport number.
If any travel restrictions appear, I will inform you promptly and guide you on the necessary steps to resolve or lift it to ensure your freedom to travel to Dubai.
Please provide your full details so I can proceed with the verification.
Regards,
Abdul Wahied
