Obaid Omran Al Shamsi

Mr Obaid Omran Al Shamsi is the Managing Partner of Al Madhani & Al Shamsi Advocates & Legal Consultants. He is a native Arabic speaker, with excellent English skills. His practice focuses on commercial and corporate law, Islamic finance, banking laws, energy, and local & international litigation. He has experience in matters that deal with contract negotiations, legislative affairs, and strategic involvement in corporate and project matters and overall compliance with international and local laws and regulations. Mr Obaid was the former Director of Corporate Compliance for a major new corporation that is dedicated to bringing commercial nuclear power to the UAE. He participated in the formation of the corporation and led the efforts to ensure compliance with the laws in effect in Abu Dhabi and the UAE. A former banker with one of the biggest banks in UAE, he has also worked as an in-house counsel and board secretary with various organizations in the UAE. He is also an independent contractor to Pillsbury Winthrop Shaw Pittman, which is an American Law Firm having its presence in UAE.
