Hazem Hussein Abouzaid

Hazem Hussein Abouzaid is a legal researcher, lecturer, lawyer, and consultant specializing in economic law, criminal law, civil law, virtual litigation, and climate change. Since 2015, Hazem have been practicing law at a firm in Alexandria, Egypt, where his work involves attending depositions in economic, criminal, and civil courts, as well as drafting legal briefs for courts of first instance and high courts. In addition, Hazem has gained legal experience in cases from the UAE and Kuwait, specifically in labor and criminal law, Beyond my legal practice, he has worked with specialized legal institutes. In 2023, Hazem received his doctoral degree in private international law, focusing on transboundary environmental pollution within the framework of private international law. Hazem Hussein Abouzaid has authored numerous research papers in the field of private international law, including Technology Transfer Contracts within the Framework of Private International Law: An Analytical Study in Egyptian Law Compared to French Law, published in the Journal Spirit of the Laws (2024). His two most recent books—The Specificity of the Applicable Law in the Context of Trans-Boundary Environmental Pollution Disputes, and Disputes Over Judicial Jurisdiction in Trans-Boundary Environmental Pollution Cases (2025)—build upon his PhD research. Hazem is passionate about applying his legal research and consultancy expertise across academic, private, and other sectors to advance innovative approaches to global challenges.
