My husband is claiming for the custody on these grounds. I have been staying with my kids, all by myself for the past 2 months. My husband has left me and my kids and stays somewhere else. I have worked in the US (2015-16) all by myself and have been working as a teacher in Dubai for 1.5 years. I have been driving in India since 2007 with no accidents or fines. My epilepsy has never affected my profession or lifestyle. I have been to different countries all by myself. Are there fair chances of me getting custody of my 11-month-old twins?

A bank has been restricting my account for 2 weeks now with no explanation: what can I do?

I have made countless calls, visited the branch 3 times, and raised a complaint (which was closed by the bank without resolving the issue) too but no response at all. No one knows the reason why it’s restricted and every time it is the same reply: “Please wait, we have sent the reminder to the concerned department” from the last two weeks. I have no cases, no liabilities to pay, and have evidence of all the transactions carried out on my account. I just want to know what steps I can take to at least understand the reason behind the restrictions. It seems like the people working at that bank don’t even care. It’s really depressing how they have been treating their customer for the last two weeks.

The landlord served me an eviction notice for sale. Can I stay if I prove his intention is to increase rent?

Q: I have been renting an apartment in Dubai for 5 years. The landlord was not happy last 3 years as they were not able to raise rent more than the RERA calculator. In 2023, they sent me an email, non-notarized, asking me to evict the property for the reason of personal use. I refused this as it did not go through court and the contract was renewed for another year. This time, in 2024, they sent a court eviction notice with a reason for sale. It was sent 12 months before the end of the contract. In the period since the notice was sent, they did not try to sell the property or list it anywhere for sale. My question is, can I dispute the notice based on the reason they do not show any intent to sell, and that I suspect they only want me out so they can re-rent it higher?

Can I get the rent cheques back if I decided to cancel the tenancy shortly after signing the agreement?

My previous landlord served me a notice to vacate. Can the new landlord vacate me without a notice?

Q: My previous landlord served me a notice to vacate, stating he intended to sell the apartment, which he later sold to a private company. From what I understand, this notice should transfer to the new owner, who would only be allowed to either sell the unit or move in themselves and cannot ask me to vacate to re-lease for higher rent.
