Q: Dear Lawyers, I received a rental apartment eviction notice from Dubai courts, which was sent and signed by a power of attorney. However, the property has two owners. Do both owners need to authorize the POA, and is there a way to check if the POA is actually authorized to send the notice? Is it possible that the POA has authorization from only one owner and was still able to send the notice?

How can I file a complaint against a customer for non-payment and fraud?
Q: Hello, I own a tourism company in the UAE. A customer hired a vehicle with a driver from my company, stating he would pay in cash. He used the car to get picked up from Jumeirah, traveled to Sharjah, and utilized it for a full-day service. When the driver requested payment, the customer said he would pay at the end of the service. However, at the end, he made the driver wait at a location and never showed up. I’ve followed up with him, but he neither pays nor responds to my texts or calls. He has a UAE number. How can I file a complaint against him? Is this considered fraud? Should I file a complaint with Dubai Police?

The visa should be canceled automatically after six months; how is this done?
Q: Hello, I was laid off from my job in January 2024 and had to leave the UAE without canceling my visa due to a family emergency. It`s been months, and my visa and EID are still active. As far as I know, after six months, they should be canceled automatically. How is this possible? I asked GDRFA about it, and they told me to discuss it with my employer, but they are not responding. Do I have to pay my company after resignation for a training that never happened?
Q: Hi Sir, I would like to ask a question. In my contract, there is an additional addendum stating that I have to pay up to 5000 AED for the training in case I terminate my contract within 1 year. Now the question is, I`m already 6 months in service. Do I have to pay that even though the company did not provide any training for me? Suing a salon for damages after a pedicure resulted in severe injury and distress
Q: Hello, I am wondering how I can sue or report a ladies` salon in Abu Dhabi for physical and emotional distress after a pedicure led to urgent care for a severe infection. I was prescribed antibiotics, anti-inflammatory medication, painkillers, and given an injection in my buttocks. I am now on crutches and unable to walk. A week after the pedicure, I underwent surgery to have my nail and skin surgically removed as a result. I spoke with the salon the day after my appointment when my foot swelled up and I went to the hospital. The technician refused to let me speak to the owner and begged me not to report her. I am extremely distressed and fed up, and I don’t want this to happen to anyone else. I have all my medical records, proof of payment to the salon, and WhatsApp messages between myself and the salon discussing my toe. What legal grounds do I have to sue the salon for damages? Should I appeal my court decision after winning compensation for my landlord's unjust eviction?
Q: Dear Lawyers, I won a court case against my previous landlord because his notary told me that he wanted to sell the property, so I had to move out.
